A SATELLITE office of the Bayaning Pulis Foundation, Inc. (BPFI) formed to support dependents of members of the police force who have died while battling armed terrorists, criminals and drug traffickers was unveiled recently at the Center for Police Strategy Management office in Camp Crame.

PNP Deputy Chief for Administration, Lieutenant General Rhodel O. Sermonia, representing PNP chief, General Rodolfo S. Azurin Jr. and BPFI chairperson, Ambassador Benedicto V. Yujuico led the inauguration of the satellite office last Friday.

Also present during the event were Department of Interior and Local Government Undersecretary for Peace and Order Oscar F. Valenzuela, Ambassador Reynaldo Catapang, BPFI president, retired Brigadier Gen. Noel A. Baraceros and PNP Director for Personnel and Records Management, Major Gen. Robert T. Rodriguez.

According to CPSM director, Colonel Victor V. Arevalo, the BPFI was established in 2020 by well-meaning citizens from the business sector who are willing to support dependents of PNP personnel who have died in the line of duty.

He said the establishment of the BPFI satellite office will make it more convenient for the current and future beneficiaries in transacting business with the group.

At the same time, the BPFI, the PNP-DPRM and the CPSM would have better coordination to facilitate the processing of documents of would-be applicants with the foundation’s office now located inside the PNP national headquarters.
