7 drug suspects yield P251K shabu in Taguig
SEVEN drug personalities, including six women, were arrested by authorities in a buy-bust operation Sunday evening in Taguig City.
Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Kirby John Kraft said the suspects were arrested by joint elements of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), District Intelligence Division (DID), District Special Operations Unit (DSOU), District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) of Southern Police District (SPD) and Taguig City Police in a buy-bust operation conducted at around 11:30 p.m. along MLQ St. Interior, Purok 3, Barangay Lower Bicutan.
Seized from the suspects were more or less 35 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of P251,600 and the marked money.
Kraft said the drug suspects were brought to the SPD DDEU Office for documentation and complaints for violation of Sections 5, 11, and 26, Article II of Republic Act (RA) No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against them.
National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director P/PMGen. Edgar Alan Okubo, for his part, commended the efforts and coordination of the law enforcement agencies involved in the successful operation as he encouraged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or information related to the illegal drug trade to the appropriate authorities.
