A TOTAL of 359 Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) from various police offices/units nationwide will be conferred the Police Executive Service Eligibility (PESE) after successfully passing the two (2) phases of the PESE process.

On August 14, 2022, the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) conducted the Written Examination, which is the first phase of the PESE process, in designated testing centers in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, which yielded a total of 384 passers.

On October 22-23 and November 5-6, 2022, the NAPOLCOM conducted the Validation Interview, which is the second and final phase of the PESE process, to a total of 511 interviewees at the NAPOLCOM Central Office – 381 of whom passed the August 14, 2022 PESE Written Examination, while 130 passed the same in the previous years.

Pursuant to NAPOLCOM Resolution No. 2022-0674, 359 or 70.25% out of the 511 interviewees successfully passed the final phase of the PESE process and will be conferred the PESE Certificate during the 17th PESE Conferment Rites which will be held on January 20, 2023, 10:00 A.M., at the PNP Multi-Purpose Center, PNP National Headquarters, Camp Crame, Quezon City.

The PESE is an eligibility requirement for the third level ranks of Police Colonel, Police Brigadier General, Police Major General, Police Lieutenant General, and Police General. It assesses the ability of PCOs in answering analytical questions on police leadership and police values, designed to ensure the qualifications of the future leaders in the police service.

During the Validation Interview, the interviewees undergo a thorough assessment by panelists composed of a NAPOLCOM official, a PNP senior official, and a representative from either the Civil Society, the Academe, or a National Government Agency.

The complete list of PESE Conferees can be viewed at the NAPOLCOM website at www.napolcom.gov.ph.
