2 drug suspects yield P.7M shabu in Las Piñas
AUTHORITIES arrested two high-value individuals (HVI) and seized more than P.7 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation Thursday morning in Las Piñas City.
Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg said two suspects were arrested in the drug sting operation conducted by policemen assigned at the office of P/Col. Jaime Santos, chief of police of Las Piñas City.
The suspects were caught red-handed while accepting the P10,000 marked money from a poseur buyer in exchange for a plastic sachet of shabu along Purple Road, Gatchalian Subdivision, Bgy. Manuyo Dos at around 6:00 a.m.
Col. Santos said his men confiscated around 106 grams of shabu valued at P720,000 from the arrested suspects and the marked money.
Macaraeg said the arrested suspects are presently under the custody of Las Piñas City Police Station Detention Management Unit for proper disposition.
“Ang ating laban kontra iligal na droga ay hindi pa tapos, maraming tao pa rin ang ayaw tumigil sa pagbebenta at paggamit ng pinagbabawal na gamot, pakiusap ko sa ating mga kababayan na tulungan po ninyo ang inyong kapulisan sa pagbabantay, at maaaring ipagbigay alam sa otoridad kung may nalalaman na patuloy sa ganitong kalakaran sa inyong lugar. Makakaasa kayo na ang kapulisan ay patuloy na magbibigay ng serbisyo publiko upang mapanatili ang katahimikan sa ating nasasakupan,” Macaraeg said.
