1,065 active COVID-19 cases reported in Cavite

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – The number of COVID-19 cases spiked to 1,065 on Sunday, July 24, 2022, according to the latest report of the Provincial Health Office (PHO) here.

According to a report, there were 52 new cases out of the 1,065 active cases reported in seven cities and 16 towns of the province.
Bacoor City has the highest number of cases with 169, followed by Bacoor with 160 active cases, Tanza with 119, GenTri with 114 active cases and Dasmariñas, 106.

“Those with low or without antibodies na po na mga vaccinated individuals and individuals who refused to get their 2nd booster after getting the 1st dose of the booster are affected kaya po dumadami ang cases natin dito sa Cavite,” said Dr. Nelson Soriano, Cavite provincial health officer.

“So we recommend na hanapan ng 2nd booster dose ang mga individuals lalo na sa commuters ng public utility vehicles like jeepney, buses and for the business establishment and schools. The the only proven solution to fight this pandemic is to be vaccinated (1st and 2nd dose, 1st and 2nd booster dose) so magpabakuna po tayong lahat,” Dr. Soriano added.

Cavite Province has 174,539 confirmed cases with 169,864 recovered patients. There were 3,610 deaths recorded as of July 23, 2022 report.

General Trias City Mayor Luis ‘Jon Jon Ferrer IV encouraged residents to continue compliance with minimum public health standards mandated by the government.

“Bakuna po ang mabisang panlaban sa COVID. Kaya po hinihimok ko kayo mga kapwa ko Gentriseño na magpabakuna at booster sa ating mga vaccination sites sa ating lungsod,” Ferrer added.
