10 drug suspects yield P2.2M shabu in CL stings

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Police arrested 10 drug peddlers, including two “high-value” targets, and seized some P2,209,200 worth of shabu in a series of anti-illegal drug operations in the region from August 1 to 4.

Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said collaborative efforts among police units led to the apprehension of the drug traffickers from various locations in Central Luzon.

“High-value” target Normallah Cali and his cohorts Edgar Roque and Ronald Pinedawas were arrested by operatives from Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit.

Seized were the marked money and 11 sachets of shabu weighing 110 grams and valued at P748,000.

In Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, suspects Norma Soliman, Israel Mendoza, and Kelvin Ken Aurelio yielded four plastic sachets of shabu worth P741,200, one cal. .45 pistol loaded with three live bullets, and the marked money.

In another operation in Cabanatuan City, Marissa Silverio and Mark Bautista were arrested and seized from them were 12 plastic sachets of shabu, with an estimated value of P346,000, along with the buy-bust marked money.

In the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, Sputnik gang member Anthony Araullo was arrested, along with Jaylord Bungay, in an entrapment, The duo yielded a Nokia phone, the marked money, and the 10 sachets of shabu worth P374,000.

“The successful outcomes of these operations demonstrate the unwavering determination of the police force to combat illegal drug activities and maintain communities that are safe and free from the detrimental effects of drug abuse,” Hidalgo said.
