Women legislators’ Pamaskong Handog: Garage sale for a cause for NCMH
The Association of Women Legislators Foundation, Inc. (AWLFI) is set to hold its “PamasCONG Handog : Garage Sale for a Cause IV” on December 4-7, 2023 at the north lobby of the House of Representatives.
Tingog Party List Representative Yedda Marie Romualdez and Fourth District of Bulacan Representative Linabelle Ruth Villarica, chairperson and president of the foundation, respectively, will lead the event.
San Jose del Monte City Representative and Event Chairperson Florida Robes will also lead the event.
A much loved tradition in the Congress community, this fundraising project features pre-loved possessions of some House members and a wide array of home, food, fashion and gift items from local entrepreneurs.
This year’s event aims to support the women legislators’ endeavor of constructing a women and children protection unit building at the National Center for Mental Health in Mandaluyong City.
Among the beneficiaries of the previous years’ “PamasCONG Handog: Garage Sale for a Cause” were the Mega Drug Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation Center in Nueva Ecija, families of slain soldiers in the 2017 Marawi siege and pediatric cancer patients from the Philippine General Hospital.
The AWLFI is a non-stock, non-profit organization composed of all women legislators at the House of Representatives that specifically champions the cause of women and children.
