DESPITE having been fully-vaccinated, Rizal, Nueva Ecija’s daughter-and-father tandem of Mayor Trina Andres and former mayor-turned-municipal administrator Lito Andres both tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, it was learned.
The two top town officials announced on Facebook that they contracted the virus after results of the RT-PCR tests administered on them came out positive at 5 p.m. Monday.
She said they did not expect to contract the virus since they were extra cautious and have been observing health and safety protocols when they met with their constituents. They even regularly subjected themselves to antigen/RT-PCR tests.
Mayor Trina stressed that there is nothing to worry about the operation of the LGU since they are still on top of the situation and will still continue to work under quarantine.
