DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite – Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade held a dialogue with hundreds of drivers and conductors and other stakeholders of the province to hear their grievances at the Dasmariñas National High in the morning and Meadow Wood Village in Panapaan, Bacoor City in the afternoon of Friday.

Tugade personally met with the concerned sectors regarding the agency’s related projects and services.

Tugade mentioned the Driver Scholar Program to help drivers and their families as they can get free livelihood training, from the husband to the wife including the children, while receiving a daily allowance from the DOTr and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

“This will be a big help for you all, so I beg you not to waste the opportunity to gain additional knowledge and income,” Tudage said.

“Each driver is entitled to learn vehicle trouble shooting course and automotive mechanic crash course. The wife can learn manicure, pedicure course and other courses for their children,” he added.

Tugade also said the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Bacoor will be opened by August so residents in the area can easily process their papers and no longer need to go to the Imus LTO. He inspected the newly constructed building at the Revilla Business Park in Bgy. Habay II, Aguinaldo Highway, Bacoor City.
