TUKOY na ng mga awtoridad ang suspect sa pagpatay kay Oriental Mindoro radio commentator Cresencio “Cris” Bundoquin.
Ito ang inihayag ni Presidential Task Force on Media security (PTFoMS) executive director Paul Gutierrez.
Bagamat tumanggi si Gutierrez na ibigay ang pagkakakilanlan ng suspect ay sinabi nitong patuloy ang ginagawang manhunt operation laban sa suspect.
“The pace of the investigation is proving to be satisfactory thus far and we are confident that the gunman, already identified, would very soon be apprehended,” pahayag ni Gutierrez.
Matatandaang nitong Biyernes ay nakipagkita si Gutierrez kay Police Regional Office in Mimaropa director Brig. Gen. Joel Doria at Oriental Mindoro police director Samuel Delorino upang sabihin ang direktiba ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla na siguruhing makakapagsampa ng ng airtight na kaso na suportado ng solid evidence laban sa mga taong nasa likod ng pagpatay kay Bundoquin.
“What our Justice secretary wants to happen in this instance is that all possible motives and angles should be investigated and that, based on solid evidence, all those involved in the attack on Bundoquin should be identified and prosecuted,” paliwanag ni Gutierrez.
“The clear message we want to send is that the government gives serious attention to the life, security, and liberty of all members of the press,” dagdag pa nito.
Aniya ang ballistics report at cross-matching ng slugs na na-recover sa crime scene at ilalabas sa June 7.
Matatandaang binaril at napatay si Bundoquin dakong 4:20 a.m. nitong Miyerkules sa tapat ng kanyang tindahan sa Barangay Sta.Isanel, Calapan City.
Magbubukas sana ng tindahan ang biktima nang pagbabarilin ng mga suspect.
