HOUSE Majority Leader Manuel Jose “Mannix” M. Dalipe on Thursday said the high net satisfaction rating of the House of Representatives is a clear sign that most Filipinos believe that the House is on track with its legislative priorities, and they appreciate the brand of the leadership of Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.

“This only means that we are doing the right thing, and the people know it. This is a clear sign that people are finally appreciating the long hours of work that we all do in the House of Representatives just to make sure that we will pass laws that will benefit all Filipinos,” Dalipe said.

Dalipe said that the 56% net performance rating of the House of Representatives and the 51% of Speaker Romualdez should “inspire” members of the House of Representatives to even work harder to institute reforms that can uplift the lives of Filipinos, especially the poor.

He added that Speaker Romualdez’s high net satisfaction rating is a result of his “first in, last out” style of leadership that has delivered results in ensuring the passage of very important pieces of legislation.

“This high trust rating should give members of the House of Representatives the momentum and right motivation to work even harder so that we can enact laws that can truly have a positive impact on our people, especially the poor. This should remind us that we are working to serve the greater good,” Dalipe said.

“We have to give credit to Speaker Romualdez whose ‘first in, last out’ brand of leadership has been a constant inspiration for all of us to go the extra mile to be able to finish our task despite seemingly insurmountable odds,” Dalipe said.

When the House adjourned for its Holy Week break last March 23, Speaker Romualdez reported that the House has approved on the third and final reading 23 of 31 bills identified by the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) as priority measures of the Marcos administration, while the remaining eight measures are in advanced states of deliberation.

In Pulse Asia’s “Ulat ng Bayan” nationwide survey conducted from March 15 to 19, 2023, President Marcos, Vice President Sara Duterte, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, and Speaker Romualdez registered a majority approval rating.

President Marcos registered a 78% approval rating, VP Duterte with 83%, while SP Zubiri and Speaker Romualdez each received a 51% approval rating. Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo received an approval rating of 43%.

The survey results showed that most Metro Manilans (57%), Visayans(77%), Mindanawons (58%), and those in class E (66%) are appreciative of the work done by Speaker Romualdez.
