A 6-YEAR-OLD boy was rushed to the hospital after a stray bullet hit him in the head while he was enjoying dinner with his family in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas
The name of the boy, a resident of Purok 1, Buliran Highland, Bgy. San Vicente, Sto. Tomas City, was withheld.
Annabele Piezas, the victim’s 23-year-old mother, yesterday went to the police station to report the incident.
Piezas said at 7 p.m. on Aug. 1, they were having dinner when they heard a gun burst. Moments later, she saw her child bleeding in the head.
The family rushed the child to Laurel District Hospital .
An x-ray conducted on the boy showed a slug in his head. He was transferred to Batangas Medical Center for further medical attention.
The mother said the slug is still embedded in his son’s head.
Police are investigating who fired the gun that hit the kid in the head.
