Mechanic arrested for selling fake driver’s license
AGENTS of the Land Transportation Office and the police yesterday arrested a mechanic for selling fake driver’s license in Matnog, Sorsogon.
Nabbed was Feliciano Dela Cruz, 51.
Authorities immediately set up an entrapment on Maharlika Highway in Bgy. Manjumlad , Matnog town after receiving reports of the suspect’s alleged illegal activities.
Seized from dela Cruz were 14 counterfeited driver’s license, nine fake receipts and two cellphones he used in his illegal transactions.
LTO-Bicol assistant regional director Vincent Nato said the suspect demanded from the victims P5,000 per “driver’s license.”
Charges for violation of the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007 and falsification of public documents were filed against Dela Cruz.
