Shooting in QC leaves 2 dead
TWO men died in separate shooting incidents less than an hour apart in Barangay Kaligayahan in Quezon City on Sunday.
A report from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD-CIDU) showed the first shooting incident occurred along Perlas ng Silangan street, wherein alias “Michael” was gunned down at around 8:10 p.m.
According to witnesses, a lone gunman approached the victim and shot him once in the head with a firearm. The suspect then fled on foot in an unknown direction.
Bystanders rushed “Michael” to the Bernardino General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival at around 8:43 a.m.
Around 50 minutes later, a call center agent was shot dead in front of Hacienda Balay Subdivision.
The victim was walking along Zabarte Road when two men on a motorcycle appeared.
The back rider shot the victim multiple times with a handgun of unknown caliber.
According to the police, the victim was about to meet somebody who will buy his helmet when the incident occurred.
The victim was brought to the same hospital, where he died while undergoing medical treatment.
Police said they are still investigating if the shooting incidents were perpetrated by the same suspects.
