‘Help gov’t open up economy’

LAKAS-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte has urged Filipinos who are not yet inoculated for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to get vaccinated and contribute in the government’s plan to open up the economy.

The call was made by Duterte Friday during the inauguration of the local headquarters of the UniTeam in Camarin, Caloocan City that was attended by city officials led by mayoral aspirant and Caloocan City Rep. Dale Gonzalo ‘Along’ Malapitan and congressional bet and Mayor Oscar ‘Oca’ Malapitan.

During her speech, Duterte called on unvaccinated Filipinos to get inoculated for the COVID-19 in order to spare the country from disruptive lockdowns and ensure the continued gradual opening of the economy.

Duterte asked.

Duterte, who is also the chair of the Lakas-CMD, assured that COVID-19 drugs are highly effective against the disease.

On Thursday, the vice presidential candidate emphasized the need for businesses that have shut down due to the pandemic to restart their operations and bring back lost jobs.
