ANTONIO, Nueva Ecija — Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. visited several typhoon-ravaged areas in the province and distributed thousands of relief packs starting with this town on Sunday morning.

After javimg breakfast with municipal officials led by Mayor Arvin C. Salonga and Vice Mayor Julie E. Maxwell at the mayor’s office, Revilla led the distribution of some 850 food packs to Super Typhoon Karding-affected residents at the municipal gymnasium.

Aside from Salonga and Maxwell, Revilla was assisted by regional and provincial officials of the Department of Social Welfare and Development led by regional director Jonathan V. Dirain, and members of the Agila ng San Antonio Patriots Eagles Club.

“Akala ko nung una ang tinamaan ng todo ay yung sa Quezon, hindi ko akalain na grabe pala ang tama sa inyo dito sa Nueva Ecija, kaya nandito ako ngayon sa inyong lugar may dala tayong relief goods, sabi ko nga kay Mayor Arvin kung ano pa ang magagawa natin para makatulong sa ating kababayan,” Revilla told affected residents at the municipal gymnasium.

Revilla also said that he will talk to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and seek aid for affected farmers. “Sasabihin din natin sa Pangulong Bongbong Marcos yung aid sa ating mga magsasaka na siyang tinamaan talaga,” he added.

Salonga thanked the senator for his assistance.

Revilla’s group motored to nearby Jaen town for another relief distribution at the municipal gym where he led along with Mayor Sylvia C. Austria, Vice Mayor Sylvester C. Austria and members of the Sangguniang Bayan, the giving-away of 850 relief packs to affected residents.

As chair of the Senate Committee on Public Works, Revilla also asked Mayor Austria how could he be of help to the town.

The senator’s itinerary in the province also included the mass distribution of relief packs in Gapan City where he met with Fourth district Rep. Emerson “Emeng” Pascual, younger sister City Mayor Emary “Joy” Pascual and the city council.

Revilla’s group proceeded to San Leonardo and Cabanatuan City, before going to Sta. Rosa for another relief pack distribution activity with typhoon victims and a courtesy call with Gov. Aurelio M. Umali and Vice Gov. Emmanuel Antonio M. Umali.

A total of 3,800 food packs were distributed to affected typhoon victims by the senator and the DSWD in Nueva Ecija.
