QC council bets isinusulong P1B ayuda, mababang buwis sa mahihirap, elderly
ISINULONG ng lahat ng mga kandidatong konsehal sa ilalim ng Malayang QC ticket ang pagkakaloob ng P1-bilyong direktang ayuda sa mga mahihirap na naapektuhan ng COVID-19 pandemic na hindi benepisyunaryo ng SAP-DSWD, P500 buwanang ayuda sa senior citizens, pagbaba ng mga lokal na buwis at iba pa.
Nakapaloob ito sa Covenant for Change na kanilang sinumpaan at pinirmahan sa presensiya ni Malayang Quezon City Party mayoral candidate Rep. Mike Defensor ng Anakalusugan at vice mayoral running mate District 2 Councilor Winnie Castelo.
“As electoral candidates under Malayang QC Party, we pledge to abide by the principles and platforms of the party, especially with regard to the promotion of the general welfare of city residents and in pursuance of their economic and social development,” anang mga konsehal sa covenant.
“Once elected, we undertake to support the passage of pending measures in the QC Council that are pro-people, pro-business and pro-workers,” deklara ng mga ito.
Kabilang sa kanilang proposed ordinances (POs) ang mga sumusunod:
PO 462 – Pagkakaloob ng P1 bilyong cash aid sa indigent na mga residente ng QC na hindi sakop ng SAP-DSWD
PO 466 – Pagkakaloob ng isang buwang suweldo bilang insentibo sa lahat ng mga kawani ng QC Hall.
PO 467 – Pagbasura sa kaparusahan sa hindi pagsusuot ng face shield sa mga pampublikong lugar sa QC
PO 468 – Pagbasura sa Ordinance No. 2556, Series of 2016, na nagtataas ng real property taxes sa QC
PO 469 – Pagkakaloob ng 5% tax holiday sa lahat ng rehistradong mga negosyo sa QC
PO 484 – Pagkakaloob ng P500 buwanang cash assistance sa senior citizens
PO 485 – Pagtigil sa pagtaas ng buwanang renta sa mga pampublikong palengke sa QC
PO 496 – Pagbasura sa no-contact apprehension program, kabilang ang kaparusahan na multa.
Pangunahing iniakda ang mga ordinansa ni incumbent Councilor Winnie Castelo.
“We will also exert our best efforts to advance the interests of the poor and underprivileged, vulnerable, unemployed and displaced workers, senior citizens, businesses, city employees, teachers, and policemen, the councilor-candidates guaranteed,” anang grupo.
“We will likewise prioritize the passage of measures that will help these sectors cope with the ill-effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and scrap anti-people measures, especially those imposing fines that add to the economic burden of Quezon City residents,” dagdag ng mga ito.
Nanumpa ang mga ito sa kanilang constituents na magsisilbi alinsunod sa pamantayan ng transparency, loyalty, katapatan, integridad, at dignidad.
