PRO4A chief leads launching of Arangkada KKDAT-Calabarzon
POLICE Regional Office 4A director Brig. Gen. Eliseo DC Cruz yesterday led the launching of Arangkada KKDAT (Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo)-Calabarzon at the Multi-Purpose Center of Camp BGen Vicente Lim, Calamba City, Laguna.
The KKDAT advocacy program, which was launched in 2019, was adopted by the PRO4A. Since the majority of the provinces are now under General Community Quarantine, PRO-Calabarzon relaunched Arangkada KKDAT, a now more active and revitalized advocacy group in the fight against illegal drugs and terrorism.
The activity was attended by the Command Group, Regional Quad Staff, KKDAT presidents of the regional and provincial KKDAT chapters, and KKDAT officers from different provinces.
KKDAT national spokesperson Franz Liam Arabia reiterated the mission of KKDAT.
“Layunin po ng PNP at KKDAT na respetuhin ang karapatan ng bawat mamamayang Pilipino. Nirerespeto ng ating pamahalaan ang talento at galing ng ating mga kabataan. Sa aking kapwa kabataan, magsalita na may kaukulang karapatan, magpahayag na may kaukulang responsibilidad sa bayan,” Arabia said.
KKDAT is the only youth-serving organization that was granted by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority to be part of the Promotion and Investment Promotion Program of PEZA. As a member and partner of certified investment promotion, KKDAT can request job service units to different economic zones, companies, and factories that are part of the export processing in the region.
Cruz urged the KKDAT volunteers to bear in mind that they are the country’s great asset.
“Your role in nation-building is particularly important. Being one of the important sectors of our society, your voice, as well as your awareness and understanding, is much needed in addressing these two perennial concerns of our country. Today you may be our partners. But tomorrow you will surely become the leaders of this country,” the Calabarzon top cop said.
