AGENTS of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-1 arrested two drug suspects and seized nearly P550,000 worth of shabu in an anti-narcotics operation in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, PRO 1 director Brigadier General Lou F. Evangelista said Sunday.

The suspects are a 41-year-old female of Brgy. San Pablo, Binalonan and a 43-year-old male from Brgy. Pasileng Norte, Binalonan, the police said.

Evangelista said undercover officers from the PRO-1 Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, with the support of the Regional Intelligence Division, the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group, the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office and the Urdaneta City Police Station, conducted the sting.

He said that the duo was arrested after they conspired to sell drugs to a poseur in Brgy. Dilan Paurido, Urdaneta City last Thursday evening.

Recovered from the two were 80 grams of shabu valued at P544,000, buy-bust money and four mobile phones.

A tricycle used by the two suspects to transport the drugs was impounded by the PRO-1 operatives.

“The apprehension of these suspects and the seizure of illicit substances and related paraphernalia serve as a stern warning to those engaged in such nefarious activities,” said Evangelista.
