Power failure slows BI-NAIA T3 operations
DUE to the power outage at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Friday, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) operations experienced a temporary operational setback, said the agency in an official statement.
The incident resulted in a slowdown in processing procedures for approximately one hour at Terminal 3, but not at T1 and T2.
During the incident, which occurred between 12:54 p.m., to 1:34 p.m., BI personnel at Terminal 3 worked diligently to ensure the safety and security of all individuals going through immigration inspection.
However, the disruption caused a temporary delay in the normal operations of the bureau.
The issue has since been resolved and BI operations at NAIA Terminal 3 have normalized.
The BI’s team worked tirelessly to mitigate the impact of the power outage and restore operations as swiftly as possible.
The agency has coordinated with airport authorities for updates on the power outage incident.
