PHILIPPINE Charity Sweepstakes Office ( PCSO) chairman Junie Cua pushed for the establishment of a branch in every province in the country so it could better serve the Filipino people.

“Maganda po kung magkaroon ng branch sa 82 lalawigan ng bansa, alinsunod sa marching order ni Pres. Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. na palawakin pa ang coverage ng mga pinaglilingkuran ng PCSO,” PCSO chairman Junie E. Cua said.

The PCSO has 72 branch offices as of the end of 2022.

Cua said he hopes the Office could open more branches this year.

“Kaunting push na lang at magiging realidad na ang 82 PCSO branch offices. Hopefully, with eight months more to go this year, we can do something to close that gap,” he added.

Cua emphasized the need for branches at every province.

Filipinos seeking medical assistance would not have to travel far if there were a branch in each province, said Cua.

Cua added that the PCSO had also eyed the same target before the pandemic.

He also said that the PCSO is taking steps to digitalize its operations to further make it convenient for the public to avail of its services.

“Eventually we hope to make it so that those seeking assistance can apply even without going to branch offices,” Cua said.
