Bossing finish 10th

DESPITE being already out of contention in the quarterfinals, Blackwater Bossing are determined to close out their campaign in style.

And the Bossing did it following a 102-83 victory over Phoenix Super LPG in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Ynares Arena in Pasig City.

Frederick Tungcab finished with a career-high 19 points, including five triples, five rebounds and four assists in 21 minutes of action to lead the Bossing.

Troy Rosario added a double-double performance of 17 points and 14 rebounds while Rey Nambatac contributed 16 points for the Jeff Cariaso-mentored Blackwater.

Bradwyn Guinto and RK Ilagan chipped in 11 points each while Richard Escoto had 10 points.

Jason Perkins led the losing effort for the Fuel Masters with 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field, while adding eight rebounds in 37 minutes of playing.

Jayjay Alejandro added 14 points and five assists while Chris Lalata contributed with nine points.

Javee Mocon and Ricci Rivero chipped in seven points each.

Last Friday, Rain or Shine Elasto Painters secured a spot in the quarterfinals with a convincing 120-104 victory over the NLEX Road Warriors.

Six players scored in double figures for the Painters, with veteran big man Beau Belga putting up 18 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field, and four assists in 27 minutes of action.

Santi Santillan added 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists while Jhonard Clarito contributed 15 points for the Yeng Guiao-mentoired E-Painters, who improved their record to 6-5 win-loss.

Shaun Ildefonso had 14 points andAndrei Caracut and Gian Mamuyac chipped in 12 points each.

Robert Bolick led the scoring for the Road Warriors with 38 points on 15-of-22 shooting from the floor, five assists and four rebounds in 39 minutes of action.

Anthony Semerad contributed 18 points and four rebounds for the Road Warriors of coach Frankie Lim.

Despite a 0-4 conference start, the E-Painters joined the ranks of teams advancing to the post-elimination rounds, following San Miguel Beermen (10-0), Barangay Ginebra Kings (7-3), and Magnolia Hotshots (6-4).
