PHILIPPINE National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) agents uprooted an estimated P80 million worth of fully-grown marijuana plants and bricks in Tinglayan, Kalinga but no one was arrested, officials said.

PNP-DEG director Brigadier General Dionisio Bartolome Jr. said no one was arrested in the uprooting operation, claiming the site was found to be uninhabited.

In a report to PNP chief, General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, the official said that PDEG Special Operations Unit Cordillera were joined by the local police, the PNP Special Action Force and the Cordillera Regional Police Office in conducting the raid.

Uprooted in the area were 150,000 pieces of fully-grown marijuana plants which, along with some 500 kilograms of dried marijuana bricks, valued at P80 million and were burned on site after some samples were taken for evidentiary purpose.
