Pangasinan vents ire on Bulacan

PANGASINAN Heatwaves rode on the 1-2 punch of former PBA players Ed Daquioag and Hesed Gabo to roll back Bulacan Kuyas, 87-55, and clinch their first win lin the MPBL (Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League) Season 6 at the Paco Arena in Manila.

Daquioag scattered 17 points on 6-of-14 shooting from the field in just 16 minutes of play, while Gabo contributed 15 points, four assists, and three rebounds the Heatwaves of coach Jerson Cabiltes.

Homegrown Mark Meneses and Michael Mabulac contributed 10 points, followed by Jerald Bautista with nine points and four assists.

Jason Celis was the only player from Bulacan to score in double figures, posting 17 points and grabbing four rebounds for coach Buddz Reyes.

Niño Ibanez added nine points, while former PBA player Paolo Hubalde and Khen Osicos contributed six points each.

Other games saw Manila beat Bataan, 90-84, and Bacolod repulse Sarangani, 84-81.

Pao Javellona and Carl Bryan Cruz scored 17 points each, while Rabeh Al-Hussaini and Ahmad Didat Hanapi added 15 each as Manila notched its second straight win and climbed to 2-1

Bacolod wasted a 21-point lead, but held on to nip Sarangani in the opener and improve its card to 1-2.

Homegrown LA Casinillo paced Bacolod with 20 points, seven rebounds and two steals, followed by Tricky Dyn Peromingan with 12 points, four rebounds and two blocks, and Jacob Galicia with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
