P40K shabu seized in Laguna drug bust
KAMPO HENERAL PACIANO RIZAL – Operatives of Calamba Police with PDEA (Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency) Laguna have seized P40,800 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation on Monday evening in Calamba City, Laguna.
P/Col. Cecilio R. Ison Jr. said the arrested suspect is an 18-year-old resident of Bgy. Parian Calamba City, Laguna.
The suspect was arrested after selling illegal drugs to a police officer who acted as a poseur buyer.
Recovered were five plastic sachets of shabu weighing 6 grams and valued at P40,800, cash, and the buy-bust money.
The arrested suspect is currently detained at Calamba Police and will be facing charges of violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The evidence will be submitted to the Laguna Provincial Forensic Unit for forensic examination.
