A MAN and a woman yielded more than P.3 million worth of shabu in a drug sting Wednesday morning in Valenzuela City.

Elements of the Valenzuela Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by P/Lt. Joel Madregalejo arrested Joven Palileo, 39, of Gumamela St. Gen. T. De Leon and Rosa Flora Gatus, 49 of Yakal St. Old Prodon, Gen. T. De Leon after they conspired in selling shabu to a police poseur-buyer worth P9,000.

The two were the subject of a weeklong surveillance and monitoring operation by operatives of SDEU after receiving several complaints from residents of Brgy. Gen. T De Leon regarding their illegal drug activities.

At around 6:30 a.m., an undercover cop was able to buy from the suspect a medium-sized plastic sachet containing shabu along Urutia St., Gen. T. De Leon that resulted in their arrest.

Police seized from the two a total of 55 grams of shabu with standard drug price of P374,000, marked money consisting of a genuine P1,000 peso bill and eight pieces of boodle money and a mobile phone.

Charges for selling and possession of illegal drugs under R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects before the Valenzuela City Prosecutor’s Office.
