Over 1M doses Moderna vax arrive
LARGE volumes of COVID-19 vaccines have been arriving in the country in recent days and in the days to come.
Yesterday morning, another 1,279,000 doses of US-made Moderna vaccine arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 from the United States via Taipei on a China Airlines flight .
The vaccine shipment was met at the airport by government officials headed by Department of Health Usec. Ma. Carolina Taino, US Embassy Political Councilor Kenneth Gardner, NTF-OPAFF Asec. Wilben Mayor and Jannette Jakosalem, of Zuellig Pharma.
On Monday, another shipment of Moderna vaccines will arrive on the same route from US via Taipei.
The government is hoping to inoculate more than 77 million Filipinos before the year end.
