Nationwide Drug Rehabilitation Centers
SUPORTADO ni Senador Christopher “Bong” Go ang plano ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na magtatag ng drug treatment at rehabilitation facility sa bawat lalawigan hanggang sa Hunyo 2028.
Nakasaad sa isang ulat na plano ng gobyerno na magtayo ng community-based drug rehabilitation programs (CBDRPs) at Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (ADACs) sa bawat probinsya, lungsod, munisipalidad, at mga barangay.
“Nakapaggawa tayo ng 74 in-patient treatment and rehabilitation facilities to provide a path to recovery for those who want to break free from their addiction,” anang senador.
“This move is a significant step towards strengthening our nation’s fight against the scourge of illegal drugs. By providing accessible and comprehensive rehabilitation services across the country, we are not only helping individuals recover from drug dependence but also ensuring their successful reintegration back into society,” sabi ng chairperson ng Senate Committee on Health and Demography at vice chairperson ng Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs.
“This initiative aligns with our vision of a safer, healthier, and drug-free Philippines. I am committed towards realizing this goal for the betterment of our country and its people,” dagdag pa nito.
Nauna nang inihain ni Go ang Senate Bill No. 428 na nagsusulong ng paglikha ng Drug Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation Center sa bawat lalawigan sa buong bansa.
Sa pamamagitan aniya nito ay hindi lamang magiging treatment facilities para sa mga drug dependents ang mga itatayong drug rehab kundi bilang mga comprehensive hub support na mag-aalok ng after-care, follow-up services, at mga social reintegration program.
“Kapag nako-contain mo ‘yung illegal drugs, kasama na diyan ‘yung criminality at ‘yung kurapsyon. ‘Pag lumala ‘yung drugs, tataas ‘yung criminality, at lalala rin ‘yung kurapsyon — maku-corrupt po ‘yung tao,” paliwanag pa ni Go.
“Nakikita naman po sa datos na napakarami na po talaga ang nasira ang buhay nang dahil sa iligal na droga. Huwag po natin sayangin ang inyong bukas at gumawa na lang po ng tama. Kaya kung kinakailangan niyo po ng tulong, may rehab centers at mga programa po ang gobyerno,” pahayag pa nito.
