THE body of a man believed to have been the one declared as missing when fire hit the sea vessel MV Titan 8 on Saturday at the Pasig River in Port Area, Manila was found floating yesterday morning.
The Manila Police District-homicide section identified the victim as Edmund Palanca, 53. He was fished out at around 8:30 a.m. near the burnt cargo ship.
Personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) took out the body from the waters.
It was believed that Palanca jumped out of the burning ship but drowned.
Seven people were wounded in the blaze and were brought to the Sta. Ana Hospital to undergo treatment.
