Mikael Daez is beyond grateful to stay as a Kapuso
MULTI-TALENTED Kapuso actor Mikael Daez remains a loyal Kapuso as he renewed his contract with GMA Network and GMA Artist Center Thursday, August 26.
Present during the virtual signing ceremony were Senior Vice President for GMA Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, First Vice President For Drama Redgie A. Magno, First Vice President and Head of Regional TV and Synergy Oliver B. Amoroso, Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angel Javier Cruz, Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, Senior Assistant Vice President for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, GMA Artist Center Assistant Vice President and Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun Ferrer, GMA Artist Center Senior Talent Manager Vic del Rosario, Senior Program Manager Cathy Ochoa Perez, and Mikael’s co-manager BetchayVidanes.
Throughout his Kapuso journey, Mikael has proven his excellence in his craft. He was recently part of the top-rating and successful GMA primetime series ‘Love of my Life,’ where he played the character of Nikolai and worked alongside veteran actress Coney Reyes, and fellow Kapuso stars Carla Abellana, Rhian Ramos and Tom Rodriguez.
In his 11 years as a Kapuso, he shared that there had been ups and downs but all are learning experiences for him, “I will always tell myself, my loved ones, my wife, when we make a mistake, that also gives us an opportunity to learn and when we learn, we grow as a person, as a worker. If you keep on repeating that process, eventually you’ll be better than who you were before.”
Furthermore, Mikael looks forward to more years as a Kapuso, “This makes me extremely happy. It shows that GMA is continually willing to invest and take a chance on me even though I’ve been in GMA for 11 years, and I’ve done a collection of projects already, the continual trust is something that shouldn’t be taken for granted so I’m very thankful for that.”
