For vax milestone

TAGUIG City Mayor Lino Cayetano attributed the city’s anti-COVID-19 milestone to the hard work of every healthcare and essential worker in the City who has largely contributed to contact tracing, vaccination efforts, and the city government’s continuous implementation of the Prevent-Detect-Isolate-Treat-Reintegrate (PDITR) strategy against COVID-19.

Mayor Lino said that alongside the local government’s aggressive vaccination efforts in all vaccination hubs, Taguig will continue to focus on community-based vaccination through the Taguig Mobile Vaccination Bus, Mobile Vaccination Team, and Home Service Vaccination for bedridden citizens.

This developed as Taguig joined Manila, Quezon, and Caloocan as the 4th city in the country to hit the one millionth mark in COVID-19 doses that it has administered in its vaccination rollout.

A total of 1,015,029 jabs have been administered in Taguig City as of September 7, 2021.

The mayor assured that the City will continue to provide fast, safe, and accessible vaccination for every Taguigeño.

The Taguig City Government also provided a special gift to Maria Luisa Escalante, an essential worker and solo parent from Brgy. Sta Ana, who was the recipient of 1,000,000th jab.

“Alam ko na mabibigyan ako ng proteksiyon para maprotektahan ko rin and aking pamilya mula sa virus. Malaking bagay na mabigyan nito, lalu na laganap ngayon ang COVID-19, at nakakatuwang malaman na libre ito. Kunin natin ang oportunidad na ito para magpabakuna,” Escalante said as he expressed his gratitude to the the local government of Taguig City.
