Marijuana for sale online sends 4 friends to jail
BACOOR CITY, Cavite. – Operatives of the Bacoor City Police Station yesterday arrested four men following the confiscation of more than 700 grams of dried marijuana leaves in a sting in Bgy. Molino 3, this city.
The main target of the operation, Jan Rolando Carlos, admitted selling marijuana online, and said that the payment was made through Gcash.
Carlos said after the payment, the illegal drugs were then delivered to the customer.
The suspect failed to mention the source of the illegal drugs but said they were getting the cannabis from a village in this city.
Also arrested during the operation were Carlos’ friends Lamberto Angeles, Vincent Pateno and Macky Natividad.
Seized were 725 grams of marijuana worth P121,500, the P500 marked money, P400 drug money, a weighing scale, and two cellphones.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied for filing in court against the arrested suspects.
