Man nabbed after 19 years for traffic violation charges

CABANATUAN CITY – A man facing a criminal charge for violation of a local traffic ordinance before a local court here was finally nabbed after 19 years since his arrest warrant was issued.

Nabbed was Florentino Reyes, 46, of Bgy. Bonifacio, this city.

Authorities served the arrest warrant against him during manhunt operations conducted in Bgy. Kapitan Pepe Subd. at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Provincial police chief Col. Rhoderick B. Campo said the operation was conducted after his men got hold of the suspect’s warrant a day prior to his arrest.

It was learned that the arrested suspect had an outstanding arrest warrant for three counts of violation of a city traffic ordinance docketed under Criminal Cases No. 808843 to 80845 issued on August 21, 2002, by Municipal Trial Court In Cities, Branch 2 Judge Tertulo A. Mendoza with bail recommended at P600.

Police said the suspect is now locked up behind bars at the local police detention facility here.
