Malabon lineman electrocuted

A 21-YEAR-OLD lineman died after he got electrocuted while reportedly performing his duty in Malabon City

Malabon Police Deputy chief P/Lt. Col. Rhoderick Juan said the death of John Vincent Tan, lineman of Rayvill Electric Construction Corporation, located at the corner of Industrial and Victoria Streets in Brgy. Potrero was reported to the police by Joe Castro, 46, assistant branch manager of the biggest chain of drug stores.

The incident happened on Saturday, September 4, 2021.

A report reaching the office of P/Col Albert Barot, chief of police of Malabon City, showed that while the victim was performing his duty at about 5:20 a.m., he accidentally touched a high voltage tension wire causing him to be electrocuted.

Alvin Arellano, foreman of the construction corporation, rushed the victim to Our Lady of Fatima Medical Center but he was pronounced dead upon arrival at his attending physician.
