POLICE arrested three drug personalities, including a woman, involved in the illegal drug trade in a buy-bust operation Wednesday before dawn in Malabon City.

Malabon Police Chief P/Col. Albert Barot said elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by P/Lt. Alexander Dela Cruz arrested Remy Fernando alyas “Tikang”, 44; Alvin Aguillon, alias “Amben”, 38, both residing in Bgy. Tañong, Malabon City and Reynaldo Emor Jr., 38, of Bgy. Tanza, Navotas City after they conspired in selling a plastic sachet of shabu worth P500 to a police poseur-buyer.

In his report to Northern Police District (NPD) Director P/BGen. Ulysses Cruz, Col. Barot said SDEU operatives have been monitoring “Tikang” and “Amben” for the past two weeks after several drug suspects who were previously arrested pointed to them as their alleged supplier of illegal drugs.

At around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday, a drug sting operation was carried out along C-4 Road, Bgy, Tañong, Malabon City, resulting in the arrest of the suspects.

Police recovered from Fernando the P500 marked money while more or less 13.0 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of P88,400 were seized from them.

The recovered evidence was turned over to NPD Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis, and the suspects were presented for inquest proceedings before the Malabon City Prosecutor’s Office following the filing of charges for conspiracy, selling, and possession of illegal drugs under Article II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002. By Edd Reyes
