MABALACAT CITY – Mayor Crisostomo Garbo announced his plan to place Bible “passages” throughout this city to bring “inspiration and constant” spiritual guidance to the Mabalaqueños.

In his message, Garbo said he will seek the city council to push for the “Bible verse” ordinance requiring all public tricycle drivers to place biblical passages in their sidecars.

Garbo asked the local pastors to provide scriptures to be placed in this city’s strategic locations and public areas once the ordinance has been implemented.

“I’ve been asking all the pastors to contribute Bible verses, mamiye la pung Word of God. Maging guiding light la ngan pu reni because the Word of God doesn’t see any denomination. Ala pung matsura keng Salita na ning Bibliya,” said Garbo.

The mayor said the Bible verse ordinance will not only bring “spiritual discipline” and “nourishment” but may also give regular encouragement and motivation in daily lives.
