Lovi realizes ‘Action Queen’ dream via ‘Flower of Evil’
Kapamilya Supreme Actress Lovi Poe is on a roll these days because her highly-acclaimed series, Flower of Evil, is going to be part of the Kapamilya Primetime Bida block starting today, November 7.
When the series first aired on Viu channel, Lovi received glowing reviews for portraying Iris Castillo-del Rosario in the Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean show.
The series is the actress’ first series for the Kapamilya network since her transfer. It also marks her entry into the suspense-mystery and action genre.
“At least for the duration of this series I fulfilled my dream of being an Action Queen,” says Lovi.
Lovi recalls being called “LPJ” or “DA Queen” on the set in reference to her late father, Fernando Poe Jr.
“I really enjoyed having that illusion, even if it was just the duration of the taping of the series,” Lovi quips.
As a police detective, she was required to do a lot of stunts, fight and chase scenes. Instead of clutching a purse, she had a hand gun for accessory.
“I’m really proud of our show and I hope that the television viewers will love it as well. I am truly grateful for having worked with the best production staff, directors and cast,” shares Lovi.
“I truly loved working with all my co-actors in the show because they were all extremely dedicated to the project. Piolo Pascual, my leading man, did his best and was very supportive and encouraging. So was Paulo Avelino, who delivered a great performance as the root of all evil. The same goes for the rest of my co-stars,” adds the actress.
Meanwhile, other than acting, Lovi tapped into her singing prowess as she took part in Asap Natin ’To’s special performance at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
Flower of Evil on Primetime Bida starts today, 9:30 p.m., at the Kapamilya Channel, Jeepney Tv, A2Z and TV5.
The series also stars JC de Vera, Denise Laurel, Agot Isidro, Joem Bascon, Joross Gamboa, Rita Avila, Jett Pangan and Edu Manzano.
