Lola, 68, stabbed dead by ‘apo,16’
SAN LEONARDO, Nueva Ecija — Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy who was tagged in the murder of his grandmother, a retired college dean, whose decomposing body was found dumped inside her Sports Utility Vehicle parked at the back of the house on Sunday here.
Police head Major Jaime Ferrer said the slain victim was a retired dean at the Wesleyan University-Philippines, of Bgy. Castellano, this town.
The victim’s decomposing body was found inside the compartment-trunk of her gray Nissan XTrail SUV haphazardly parked at the house backyard at 9 p.m. here.
“Nagtaka mga kapitbahay sa barangwy kasi three weeks na hindi lumalabas ng bahay ang biktima kaya nagduda na sila at pinasok nila at sa bakuran may naaamoy silang mabaho hanggang nakita nila yung SU na nakapark na hindi maayos sa gawing likod-bahay,” said Ferrer in a text message to the Journal Group on Thursday.
Ferrer said the victim was belueved stabbed to death with a kitchen knife by her grandson.
The motive for the killing was extreme hatred, the police official said. “Lagi daw siya pinapagalitan ng kanyang lola.”
Murder charges were filed last Tuesday against the suspect, who is now under custody of the municipal social welfare and development office here for proper disposition.
