Las Piñas feted for efficient healthcare programs

THE city government of Las Piñas was cited by the Department of Health (DOH)-Metro Manila Center for Health Development (MMCHD) for the “high quality” of services in public healthcare.

The city government was recognized for its outstanding financial compliance in efficiently utilizing DOH’s funding and prompt and correct liquidation.

The city was also awarded a plaque of appreciation for its support of different healthcare programs providing equitable access to quality and affordable healthcare services in accordance with universal healthcare.

The awarding and recognition of cities with high-quality health service was held at the Manila Hotel on Oct. 14 during the 35th anniversary of the DOH-MMCHD.

Aside from the two awards received by the government, a check worth P150,000 was also awarded, which can be used by the city as additional funding for health services and projects for the Las Piñeros.

Vice Mayor April Aguilar was happy with the two recognitions awarded to the city government. She also said that the recognition given by the DOH-MMCHD is an “inspiration” for the city government to improve or do better the health services for the residents.

The Las Piñas vice mayor added that improving health services is part of Mayor Imelda Aguilar’s “Tuloy ang Tapat at Progresibong Serbisyo.”
