Lady drowns in Caoayan
CAOAYAN, Ilocos Sur — A 17-year-old lady drowned Thursday in Choco Surf, Bgy. Manangat, Caoayan, Ilocos Sur.
Police identified the victim as Jochell Avila y Queypo, resident of Bgy. Anonang Menor, Caoayan.
Initial investigation gathered by police showed that the victim, together with her friends, went at the said place to have a picnic along the beach. The victim then went to the seashore for a swim but was allegedly pulled away by the strong current of the sea.
Victim was recovered by the duty lifeguard of Choco Surf and was rushed to GSGH by the RHU ambulance for medical treatment but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
