Jobless man drowns in Batangas resort
POLICE reported that a 21-year-old jobless man drowned while swimming at a beach resort Monday in Lian, Batangas.
Lian Municipal Police Station investigator PSMS Primitivo M. Dayandayan identified the fatality as Ramil Luna, single of Biñan, Laguna.
Barangay San Diego Chairman Benjamin Delos Reyes reported the drowning incident that occurred in the coastal water of this village at 2:45 p.m.
Lian MPS led by PLT Alfredo R.Anadia, DCOP immediately proceeded to the said resort.
Initial investigation showed that Luna together with his friends went for an outing at Bobert Resort located in Bgy. San Diego.
Luna was seen swimming still near the shoreline at about 1 p.m. when a big wave hit him and swept him away.
Luna was rescued hour later and was rushed to the Apacible Memorial District Hospital (AMDH) by responding Lian Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) team where he was pronounced dead on arrival by attending physician Dr. Solly Pisando.
Luna’s body was turned over at the Apacible Memorial hospital morgue.
