Isko to Manila employees: Go extra mile to serve the people
PLEASE, let us go the extra mile.
Thus Mayor Isko Moreno appealed to all employees of the Manila city government, as he announced that the distribution of their mid-year bonus will push through on May 18 despite the challenges being faced by the city amid the pandemic.
“I am happy for you, you deserve it. Kahit madaming gastusin, tustusin at dapat pang gastusan at tustusan, malugod kong sinasabi na tuloy ang ating mid-year bonus. Kung ano ang due sa inyo, ibibigay, kahit hirap na hirap tayo. ‘’Yung bimpo, pigang-piga na,” the mayor said.
Moreno also lauded the city employees for willingly assisting the city government’s efforts directed at addressing the problems brought about by the COVID-19 situation, even above and beyond the call of duty.
“Magpasalamat tayo sa Diyos, me konti pa tayong porbecho. Although karapatan natin ‘ yan, walang masama na suklian natin ito ng tapat, maayos at episyente na paglilingkod. Let us go the extra mile to serve the people. Palagay ko naman matutuwa ang taumbayan pag nakita nilang malugod silang pinaglilingkuran,” Moreno added.
For their part, the mayor vowed that he and Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna will continue doing their very best to provide the most efficient service possible for the citizens of Manila.
Moreno also assured that as always, he and Lacuna make sure the people’s money are put to good use and that not a single centavo goes to waste.
He said city government workers have a lot to be thankful for, stressing not everybody gets a chance to be of service to others and that they are among the fortunate few who continue to have jobs and earn despite the pandemic.
“Andaming nawalan ng trabaho. Tayong taong-gobyerno, di nawawalan, me konti pang porbecho. Pasalamat tayo sa Diyos na bahagi tayo ng gobyerno. Umulan o bumagyo, magka-delubyo man, a-kinse at a-trenta, me sweldo tayo. Ngayon me bonus pa. Sa a-disiotso (May 18), madidisgrasya n’yo na” Moreno said. The total amount allotted for the said bonus is P350 million.
