Isko: Swab tests still free in Manila
WITH the recent spike in the number of COVID cases in the country, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno announced that swab tests using the gold standard of RT-PCR testing remains free in the city.
Citing a report from Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna and Manila Health Department chief Dr. Poks Pangan, Moreno noted that the long lines at Manila swabbing sites have returned following the holidays, as negative swab results are being required for various purposes like going back to the workplace.
Moreno and Pangan visited the city’s vaccine storage facility at the Sta. Ana Hospital headed by Director Dr. Grace Padilla, to check on the remaining number of vaccines.
Pangan reported to Moreno that currently, there are 176,000 doses of Pfizer stored in the said facility, 56,480 Moderna, 3,780 Sinovac, 38,850 AstraZeneca and 15 Sinopharm.
