How Eric rose from the ranks

ERIC Nicolas is elated to be chosen by the PIE Channel to host their daily game show, “Mukhang Perya”, seen Monday to Friday at 6 PM.

Unlike the other PIE Channel shows that are taped, his is seen live from the studio. “Yes, live po ang show namin every night kaya abangan nyo kasi masaya talaga dahil anything goes. I want to thank PIE Channel for giving me the chance to host this feel good show.”

Eric really rose from the ranks. He was taking up fine arts but dropped out due to financial problems. He started in showbiz as a dancer and stand up comic, then he became a jester in live shows like ‘Wowowin’ and ‘ASAP’.

He entertains the studio audience while the show is having a commercial break. It was in ‘Wowowin’ where he got to first appear on camera as Willie Revillame’s assistant in the game segment “Hep Hep Hooray”.

Eventually, he went into acting and did supporting roles in various TV series like “Kokey”, “Angelito, Batang Ama”, “Tiagong Akyat”, “Dolce Amore” and the sitcom “Home Sweetie Home”. He became a contestant in the celebrity edition of “Your Face Sounds Familiar” and he was a hit with the audience, easily eclipsing the other contestants in the show.

Luis Manzano reveals that Eric once joined the game show “Minute to Win It” and he won P1 million pesos. (Laughter ensues.)

“Mukhang Perya” is part of PIE Channel’s Pindot PIEnalo block. Seen weekdays from 6 to 7 PM, Eric as game master is assisted by BB Gurlz Freshe and Angelica and PIE Jock Zendee. Online KatroPIES can win as much as P30,000 daily by participating through their cellphones.
