PRESIDENTIAL Adviser on Poverty Alleviation Secretary Larry Gadon has asked Senate President Miguel Zubiri to strip Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa of committee chairmanship and terminate all the remaining hearings on the so-called “PDEA leaks” linking the country’s Chief Executive to illegal drug use.

Gadon was reacting to Dela Rosa’s claim that the photo copy of the report presented by his witness ex-PDEA agent Jonathan Morales, was authentic.

“Authenticity is different from credibility, iba ang authenticity sa credibility. Sabi ni Bato authentic daw yung xerox report, but authenticity refers only to the form, office form,” he said.

Gadon pointed out that anybody can just fill up an office form and claim it is authentic.

Dela Rosa is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs.

According to Gadon, Dela Rosa was only relying on “hearsay” from his witness (Morales) whom former PDEA head Dionisio Santiago described as an “STL” (story-telling liar).

President Marcos also likens Morales as a “jukebox” saying “pag hinulugan mo ng pera, kahit anong kanta kakantahin.”

“Kasi office form, pero iba naman ang credibility, if the superior rejects the report for lack of credibility then there is no report existing,” Gadon stressed.

“In a court of law, itatapon ng judge ang dokumento for being just a hearsay as the contents are not from the personal knowledge of the person but coming from a polluted, unidentified, non existing , fabricated source,” he added.

Aside from asking Zubiri to remove Senator Bato as the chairman of the committee, Gadon also suggested to make him responsible for all the expenses incurred in several hearings already conducted, and terminate the planned other hearings “because it only put to waste the people’s money.”

“Dapat tanggalin si Bato sa pagiging Chairman ng Committee dahil inaaksaya lamang nya ang pera ng gobyerno. At dapat ay ipa- refund sa kanya ang gastos ng mga hearing na yan,” he said.
