High profile inmate dies inside NBP
A HIGH-PROFILE inmate has died inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City, a ranking Justice Department official confirmed on Monday.
According to Assistant Secretary and concurrent DOJ spokesperson Atty. Mico Clavano, Jacob “Coco” Rasuman, the alleged leader of an investment company died on Sunday.
“PDL (person deprived of liberty) Rasuman died in the presence of his wife on a conjugal visit. The cadaver was already claimed by the family,” Clavano said in a message.
Rasuman was implicated in the P247-million investment scam that victimized local investors.
He was arrested in Marawi in 2012. He alongside several others were charged with syndicated estafa.
