Frasco congratulates PTAA for success of travel trade expo

TOURISM Secretary Christina Garcia- Frasco congratulated the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) for the success of the 31st edition of the travel trade expo that was concluded yesterday.

She lauded the association’s relentless dedication to fostering growth and innovation in the tourism sector.

The Tourism chief highlighted the expo’s critical role in propelling the industry forward, especially in the wake of global challenges.

Frasco formally opened the PTAA Travel Tour Expo at the jam-packed SMX Convention Center, MOA Complex in Pasay City on Friday (Feb 2).

The PTAA Travel Tour Expo, a cornerstone event for the travel industry, offers an unparalleled opportunity for adventurers and holidaymakers to discover a plethora of travel packages, exclusive deals, and promotional offers from a wide array of airlines, hotels, resorts, and tour operators. With over 300 exhibitors and an expected turnout of nearly 100,000 visitors, the expo serves as a vital platform showcasing some of the favorite getaways, hidden gems and emerging destinations in the Philippines.

PTAA President Patria Chiong also encouraged the attendees to explore the booths a wide variety of travel offerings suited for different kinds of travelers.

Other VIPs who attended the opening ceremony were Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, Phillippine Airlines President Stanley Ng, Pasay City acting Vice Mayor Joey Calixto-Isidro, Embassy of Brazil Deputy Chief of Mission Minister Sergio Taam, representatives from the Taiwan Tourism Board, DOT Undersecretaries Shahlimat Hofer Tamano and Ferdinand Jumapao, Assistant Secretary Maria Rica Bueno, DOT Regional Directors from all across the regions, and travel and hospitality stakeholders.
