Four-way tie in the PBA
TNT Tropang Giga ended their elimination round campaign in style.
The Tropang Giga defeated Magnolia Chicken Timplados, 98-93 in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Malate, Manila.
Veterans Kelly Williams and Jayson Castro provided the firepower for the Chot Reyes-mentored Tropang Giga.
Williams finished with 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the field, on top of eight rebounds and four assists in 37 minutes of action.
Castro added 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor, seven assists and four rebounds.
Brian Heruela also stepped up for ths Tropang Giga as he contributed 13 points.
The win enabled TNT to move into a heavy four-way tie with Rain or Shine, Meralco and Magnolia.
Mark Barroca and Ian Sangalang combined for 43 points for the Hotshots of coach Chito Victolero.
Barroca had 22 points while Sangalang added 21 points and seven rebounds.
