PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. enters the 24th month of his presidency on Saturday, with many of his programs now being implemented.

With the help of the two-chamber Congress, the government continues to come up with legislation aimed at addressing the problems confronting the country and people.

The problems include poverty, hunger, unemployment, homelessness, high prices, graft and corruption, illegal drugs, and the West Philippine Sea (WPS) dispute.

The priorities of Marcos, better known as BBM, also include food security, peace and order, and welfare of the working class, including the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

When he assumed the highest political post of the land, the crusading Ilocano Chief Executive from Ilocos Norte articulated on his visions.

And when he delivered his first state-of-the-nation address (SONA), PBBM vowed to put in place practical programs aimed at drawing the poor into the social mainstream.

Marcos also unveiled a comprehensive pro-poor housing program designed to provide the homeless and low-salaried workers affordable and decent shelter.

The people, notably members of the marginalized sectors, are made to believe that the government is still in a position to address all our problems.
