Fil-Indian punched, robbed by 2 men

AN Indian national with Filipino citizenship lost P22,000 worth of his collection to two men who punched and robbed him in Malabon City.

Malabon police chief P/Col. Albert Barot identified the victim as Navjeet Tiwari, 38, businessman and resident of 12 Balmaressas Compound, Brgy, Marulas, Valenzuela City.

Case investigator P/SSgt. Jeric Tindugan said Tiwari was collecting debt payments along VMN Compound, Brgy Potrero at around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday when one of the suspects identified as Erwin Barcenas, 30, resident in the area approached and punched him, causing him to fall to the ground.

Barcenas’ alleged cohort identified as Francis Felices, 22, also a resident in the area grabbed the victim’s money from his pocket then both suspects escaped.

Responding elements of Malabon Police Sub-Station 2 immediately conducted a follow-up operation but the suspects were no longer in their respective homes.
